Karen’s Cairn Collage

I worked on the collage for Karen this weekend – actually I worked on it quite a bit.  The first piece i worked on was coming out very nicely and then… when I was almost done… the image started to bubble off the canvas!  I have no idea why, it must have been some kind of a chemical reaction.  The only thing I can tell you I am very grateful for is that i did not buy the super large quantity of canvas from Fredrick’s!

This scan is a little shiny but I like the way it came out – the waterfall doesn’t really show the texture, so I’m going to have to figure out another way to get better pictures.

I’ll send this on today – hope she likes it.

Oh this photo was taken last summer on vacation at Stonebridge in NY.  I liked the Cairns that were built in the foreground.

Wow! I am excited, and will be really looking forward to getting this! It has a lovely calm feeling to it. I will love looking at this hanging on my wall!

Very pretty. I know the word cairn but I always thought it only applied to rocks stacked around a grave, or maybe a mystical site. Hmmm, gonna go look that up now.
