Guess I’m not in Kansas
But there are scenes across Westport and Fairfield County that look like they could be from Kansas. Assuming Kansas has some big-ass Pine trees. We got hit by a hell of a storm this last weekend, at least that is what we were told. Morgan and I were relaxing and snowboarding at Stratton Mountain!
This is outside the building where my office is located. I’m guessing the building is close to 35 feet tall, as all of the floors have very high ceilings.
I can’t believe the door located right under the tree is still being used – the postman just delivered the mail. I took this shot from inside the building – too chicken shit to go outside -or maybe I mean smart

Oh my gosh!! This is incredible. It looks like here in tornado alley! Guess you were glad you stayed out of that.
The tree took several hours to come down and everything is back to normal.
I was told there was some last minute excitement. After the tree was cut through the remaining part – they had a crane holding the tree secure in the air, just after they swung it away, a raccoon came climbing out of the trunk and was balancing on top of the log – 35 feet up in the air! After several minutes the animal climbed onto the roof of the building and scurried away! I’m glad I wasn’t here I would have been even more nervous than the crane operator!
WOW! Amazing. I can’t believe the town council didn’t have someone close up the entrance. Well, it takes all kinds.
