About Me

I am a fiber artist who dabbles in whatever catches my interest.
Art Quilts, Painting and Photography are my passions and I love to share them here.
A Tarot Reader once told me that I would make my living with paint and rocks. Several years later I was an artist specializing in faux painting. So it’s true I made my living painting things to look like rocks. I really enjoyed painting rocks so much that for several years, I taught others to paint faux rocks too!
I still love painting but now use my brush in my current medium of fiber art. My imagery is developed from photographic references and hand-painted onto fabric. Other work involves manipulating and fracturing an image with is then reassembled onto a traditional background. In addition to extensive threadwork, much of my work includes embellishment.
My work continues to evolve and currently it is headed back towards painting, with a side trip towards digital art. I think that as long as I have the ability to experiment and try new techniques my work will continue to grow. My studio may strain to contain my supplies, but maybe my next art adventure will have miniatures in mind… They can’t take too much room right?
